Reliance Industries has announced its first quarter numbers wherein both topline and bottomline numbers were in line with estimates. It has posted 13.2% growth in its net profit of Rs 4,110 crore for the quarter ended June 2008 as against Rs 3,630 crore in same period of last year while CNBC-TV18 estimated at Rs 4,142 crore. Net sales was up by 41% at Rs 41,579 crore from Rs 29,524 crore YoY. PBDIT stood at Rs 6,347 crore for first quarter and PBT at Rs 4,902 crore. Earning per share, EPS has increased at Rs 28.30 from Rs 25. Exports were at Rs 28,357 crore and cash profit was at Rs 5,486 crore. Gross refining margin, GRM stood at USD 15.70 per barrel. Petchem revenues went up by 12.7% at Rs 14,871 crore and Petchem EBIT margin improved at 10.6% from 10.4% (QoQ). Refining revenues were up by 45.9% at Rs 32,587 crore and refining EBIT margin declined at 9.3% versus 9.9% (QoQ). Jamnagar Refinery Processed at 8.13 MT of crude and utilisation at 98.5%.
